What is the navigation bar?
The navigation bar appears at the bottom of every lesson and it can be used to move through slides, view progress, and access supplementary lesson resources.
Moving through a lesson
Use the navigation controls to move between slides:
- Previous(←): Return to the previous slide.
- Next (→): Move to the next slide.
- Slide counter: Shows your current slide and the total number of slides in the lesson.
Navigation panel
Select the Slides icon to open the lesson navigation panel.
From the panel, you can:
- View all slides in the lesson.
- Jump between slides.
- See which slide you're currently viewing.
Progress is saved automatically and students will only be able to see slides they have already completed. Slides that have not been completed will remain locked and inaccessible. However, teachers and administrators can move freely between the slides.
Keyboard shortcuts
You can also navigate lessons using your keyboard. Keyboard shortcuts work only when they don't interfere with an activity or interactive element on the current slide.
| Key | Action |
| Right Arrow (→) | Move to the next slide |
| Left Arrow (←) | Move to the previous slide |
| Esc | Close the lesson navigation panel |
Word Wall
If a lesson includes a Word Wall, select the Word Wall icon to review key vocabulary and definitions without leaving the lesson. If a lesson has multiple definitions, clicking on the right or left arrow(s) will allow you view all the definitions.
Supplemental materials
Some lessons include supplemental materials. To view these, select the “Supplemental Materials” icon. From here, you’ll be able to access materials such as lesson transcripts, answer keys, and lesson guides.
